Networking...truly an overused term these days! Yes, it's important. Yes, it can be very beneficial. Yes, it can be both work and enjoyable. And yes, it can be done almost anywhere, including the corner Jason's Deli. Still, if you don't REALLY know how to network nor understand what it means, find that out BEFORE you attempt to do it (I know using all caps is not really cool in written communication, but it's a holiday weekend and this is a blog - not a company email. Give me a break!). Networking is tossed around like reality shows. First know your objective. Last, track/measure your results. You're probably wondering what comes in between "first" and "last". That may vary, depending on you, the scenario, etc. Always have the beginning and ending in mind! Kind of like romantic relationships. I know...we typically don't plan for the end of them but that may not hurt. Some folks, you KNOW it's not long-term but I digress...
